Yes and Amen

"For all the promises of God find their Yes in him..." 2 Corinthians 1:20a (ESV)

Everything God has promised finds its Yes in Jesus.

Everything God has predestined finds its Yes in Jesus.

Everything God has predestined for us finds its Yes in Jesus.

Everything God has predestined for us is fulfilled through Jesus.

Everything God has predestined for us is fulfilled and finished through Jesus.

We are not waiting for God to fulfill His promises.  He has promised, and it is so.  In Jesus, it is Yes and Amen - not "Maybe" and "You'll have to wait and see."  Yes and Amen.

I'm struggling with patience to see the fruit of a promise God has made to me, so I keep reminding myself, "Yes and Amen."  Yes and Amen - God promised, God knows, God is faithful, and God is finished.  My call is patience and trust.  A resting place - a place of peace - is woven together by the threads of patience and trust.  When you are in that place, you know it.  When you are out of that place, you know it.

So here I am - trying to rest in the Yes and Amen.  Maybe you are, too.
